The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a clinical or healthcare setting, with strong administrative capabilities. This role is perfect for someone confident in managing patient-facing administration, working during evenings and weekends, and proficient with IT systems, preferably SystmOne.
Candidate Responsibilities
As a GP Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
Acting as the first point of contact for patients, both face-to-face and via telephone
Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments
Registering new patients and updating demographic details
Managing clinic lists and ensuring accurate patient flow
Using SystmOne to access and update patient records
Processing correspondence, scanning, and filingDocumentation
Supporting clinicians with administrative tasks during clinics
Ensuring confidentiality and data protection standards are maintained
Handling general enquiries professionally and courteouslyEssential Skills and Requirements
Previous experience working within a GP surgery, clinic, or healthcare environment
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Confident communication skills and a professional manner
Ability to work independently during evening and weekend shifts
