Community Safety Assistant
Location: Yeovil
Contract: Temporary (12 weeks) | Full Time (37 hours)
Pay: up to £14.89 per hour DOE
We are recruiting for a Community Safety Assistant to join a friendly team on a 12-week temporary contract. This is a varied and rewarding role focused on keeping neighbourhoods safe and supporting vulnerable residents.
The Role
Manage a diverse caseload of community safety and safeguarding issues
Tackle anti-social behaviour using appropriate tools and legal powers
Support victims of domestic abuse
Progress legal cases through the court process
Attend multi-agency meetings and work closely with partner organisations
Carry out home and neighbourhood visits (mileage paid)
About You
Experience dealing with anti-social behaviour and safeguarding cases
Knowledge of enforcement tools and relevant legislation
Confident managing complex cases and sensitive situations
Strong communication and partnership-working skills
A proactive team player with a customer-focused approach
