Role: Assistant Transport Manager
Location: Tottenham
Hours: Full time, Monday- Friday
Salary: £41,500
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Transport Manager to join our clients successful team.
Duties of a Assistant Transport Manager:
Plan routes and allocate resources efficiently
Support the Transport Manager with daily operations
Monitor deliveries and resolve issues
Ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy and meet Health and Safety standards
Act as main point of contact for drivers
Schedule drivers and check compliance
Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
Maintain compliance with transport laws and regulations
Assist with audits, reports and KPI tracking
What we would like from you:
Experience in transport or logistics, preferably in supervisory role
Thorough understanding of transport compliance and regulatory requirements
Class 2 (Cat C) Driving License - required
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Proficient with IT systems, including Excel and transport software
Strong leadership and communication skills
