We are looking for enthusiastic Laundry Operative to start work as part of Rocliffs' expanding friendly team on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities in Detail:

Sorting and Preparation: Sorting soiled laundry by fabric type, color, and cleaning process (e.g., sheets, towels, uniforms). Tagging or scanning items with barcodes/chips for tracking.

Machine Operation: Loading, unloading, and operating industrial washing machines, tunnel washers, and tumble dryers. Setting correct wash cycles, temperatures, and monitoring for malfunctions.

Stain Treatment and Finishing: Applying specific chemicals for stain removal. Operating industrial ironers, pressers, and folders (e.g., tunnel finishers).

Quality Control: Inspecting finished items for cleanliness, damage, or remaining stains. Re-washing items that do not meet standards.

Packing and Dispatch: Folding, packing, and preparing clean laundry for delivery to customers, such as hotels, hospitals, or care homes.

Health, Safety, and Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace. Following strict health and safety procedures (handling chemicals, using PPE). Cleaning machinery and reporting maintenance issues.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy loads, and stand for long periods.
