Job Title: Assistant Production Manager
Location: Doncaster – Stainforth (DN7)
Salary: £35,360 / £17.00 p/h (DOE)

Key Assistant Production Manager Responsibilities:
-
Support daily production across multiple lines
-
Help achieve output, efficiency and quality targets
-
Adjust schedules and workflow to meet demand
-
Reduce downtime and improve productivity
-
Maintain food safety, hygiene and GMP standards
-
Monitor CCPs and support audit readiness
-
Supervise and support line leaders and operatives
-
Deliver shift briefings and on-the-job training
-
Coordinate raw materials and packaging availability
-
Monitor waste and drive improvement initiatives
-
Liaise with engineering on maintenance and breakdowns
-
Maintain accurate production and performance records
Key Assistant Production Manager Requirements:
Essential Requirements:

Previous experience within FMCG production
-
Strong understanding of quality standards (HACCP / GMP)

Proven supervisory or team leadership experience on a production floor

Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

Good communication and organisational skills
-
Practical problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Desired Requirements:

Knowledge of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles

Experience supporting audits or compliance processes
-
Exposure to multi-line or high-volume production environments

Relevant qualification in Food Science, Manufacturing, Engineering or similar

Ambition to progress into senior production or operations management
