1:1 Support Assistant
Location: Harrow
Start Date: ASAP Start
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant to work in mainstream primary schools, providing individual support to a pupil with additional needs. This role focuses on targeted interventions to help the child achieve their learning and development goals.
The Role:

Work 1:1 with a pupil to support learning, social, and emotional development

Deliver targeted interventions as outlined by the class teacher or SENCO
-
Support the pupil in accessing the curriculum and engaging with learning activities

Assist with personal care or physical needs if required

Track progress and provide feedback to the teacher and SENCO

Promote independence, emotional regulation, and positive engagement
What We’re Looking For:

Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEN

Patient, compassionate, and resilient approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Confident delivering targeted interventions and differentiated support

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
