We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join our welcoming primary school in Harrogate.
About the Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and flourish within the classroom environment. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider school team to ensure the child receives personalised, consistent, and high‑quality support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small‑group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs
Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Support pupils with communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and wellbeing
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Assist with EHCP targets and ongoing monitoring of pupil progress
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
