An Outstanding secondary school in the Harrogate area is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to cover a maternity leave from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and personally.
The Role
You'll be working closely with students who have varying levels of SEND, helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and make consistent progress. The school is seeking someone patient, adaptable, and genuinely committed to inclusion.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting students with a range of special educational needs
Working 1:1 and in small groups depending on individual student needs
Assisting with tailored learning activities set by the class teacher and SEN team
Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive learning habits
Working collaboratively with the pastoral and inclusion teams
