Overview
We are looking for a driven Assistant or Junior Quantity Surveyor to support commercial operations on a retail project for TK Maxx. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their QS career who is looking for hands-on development, mentorship, and exposure to live project environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing budgets, cost plans, and valuations
- Support the procurement of subcontractors and materials
- Help maintain project cost records and financial reports
- Attend site meetings and support contract administration tasks
- Assist in measuring works, processing variations, and updating forecasts
- Work closely with the Senior QS to learn best practices and develop commercial skills
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with project procedures
Skills & Experience
- 0–3 years experience in a QS role (placement year experience also welcomed)
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Confident with Excel and standard QS software
- Strong willingness to learn with a proactive mindset
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Degree or ongoing studies in Quantity Surveying (or similar) preferred
