A local 3 form entry “Good” school is currently looking for a Year 2 Phonics Teaching Assistant. You should have experience reading with and supporting children to communicate and learn their sounds in order to be successful.

Duties include:
Helping with pupils learning and development- in particular reading and phonics
Supporting those with specific targets to meet, make progress quickly in a 1:1 regular slot
Ne open to learning more about phonics and early steps in reading, spelling and writing
Keeping records of each pupil’s progress
Helping students develop life skills and mentoring them to have a positive outlook
The Successful candidate will:
Have experience helping children in their early reading development – Preferred
Have a good standard of literacy, numeracy skills
Build up positive relationships with pupils and staff
Understand or be willing to learn how children develop, think and learn
Be resilient and patient when working with groups of children or on a one to one basis
Have experience in a similar role or have a passion to learn the skills above
