We’re looking for a Greenspace Operative to join our Environmental Services team on a seasonal fixed-term contract from March 2026 to the end of October 2026. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality grounds and environmental maintenance services across the North West, helping us create safe, clean and welcoming outdoor spaces for our customers and communities. This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in high standards, and has a strong customer-focused approach.
Working Pattern:
41 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30am – 4:00pm
What You’ll Be Doing:
Carrying out a wide range of grounds maintenance and horticultural tasks, including grass cutting, strimming, pruning, weeding, spraying and planting
Supporting wider environmental maintenance activities, such as litter picking, leaf clearance, waste removal, landscaping and general ground works
Assisting trades colleagues where required to support a right first time approach
Operating tools, plant and equipment safely and efficiently
Planning and organising your workload to meet scheduled appointments and priority response times
Using mobile IT systems to receive instructions, complete work orders and record activity
Communicating professionally with customers, colleagues, schedulers and other teams
Ensuring all work meets required quality standards, health & safety requirements and performance measures
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping or similar
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong customer focus and good communication skills
Flexible and proactive approach to work
Experience of arboriculture or related environmental works

Interview Process:
Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of competency-based questions. Interviews will take place on the 3rd, 4th and 5th March at our HMS Stonebridge Office.
