An Assistant Quantity Surveyor is required to join one of the most respected main contractors in the North East.
The company work across a variety of sectors including Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Commercial & Leisure on projects up to £20m. They are financially secure with turnover consistently around the £60m mark and have already secured their turnover target for 2026. They have an enviable reputation for staff retention with their average employee being in place for 10 years.

Develop understanding on contractual requirements

Complete external valuations, remeasures and pricing variations

Start to demonstrate confidence with procurement of subcontractors

Form effective relationships with the site team

Develop deeper understanding of valuation cycle

Prioritise and manage time whilst working to deadlines

Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients
Requirements

Be a confident and reliable Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Degree qualified or ONC/HND qualified with 2/3 years’ experience

Possess strong numeracy and report writing skills

Have good presentation skills
-
Demonstrable construction experience/exposure
Remuneration is negotiable dependent upon experience, up to £42,000 p.a including company vehicle or car allowance and attractive benefits package
