AZURE DELIVERY ENGINEER
Location: Remote, UK
Rate: £400 per day INSIDE IR35
Role Type: Contract, 3 Months
This role sits within our clients Cloud Services Delivery team and is responsible for turning cloud solution designs into real, high‑quality Azure implementations.
Strong background in Azure infrastructure and platform services rather than endpoint or device‑management technologies. Experience with server-side cloud engineering, including VMs, networking, storage, identity, PaaS, automation, and cloud migrations
Azure Infrastructure: Strong hands-on experience with Azure VMs, storage, backup, management tools, databases, Arc, and Virtual Desktop. A relevant Microsoft certification is expected.
Networking: Skilled in cloud networking, DR/HA designs, and services such as site‑to‑site VPNs.
Cloud Migration: Proven experience onboarding and migrating customers to Azure using tools like Azure Migrate.
PaaS Knowledge: Experience with SQL, App Service, Kubernetes and similar Azure PaaS services (desirable).
Security: Solid understanding of security technologies including Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, RBAC, and Lighthouse, with a strong security‑first mindset.
Delivery Ownership: Able to independently deliver solutions from architect‑created designs while maintaining logical, process‑driven thinking.
Technical Documentation: Able to contribute to and produce clear, comprehensive low‑level designs and configuration documents.
Automation: Experience with scripting and IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and PowerShell.
Communication: Strong teamwork, communication, and customer‑facing skills.
Adaptability: Comfortable working with evolving solutions in fast‑changing environments.
Analytical Skills: Able to investigate problems, identify options, and collaborate effectively on solutions.
Certifications: AZ-101 / AZ-104
