Assistant Registered Manager
Full-time | Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Location: Swindon
On-call may be required which would be paid on top of the salary.

About the Role
The Assistant Registered Manager will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the delivery of high-quality care. This role plays a key part in maintaining CQC standards, supporting audits and inspections, and ensuring robust governance processes are embedded across the service.
Working closely with senior leaders, clinicians, and operational teams, the Assistant Registered Manager will help oversee staffing, compliance, training, and quality assurance, while supporting staff performance and wellbeing. This role requires a confident, organised leader with strong regulatory knowledge and a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities

Support the operational management of the service in line with CQC and legislative requirements

Assist with compliance monitoring, audits, and preparation for inspections

Participate in meetings with Social Services and multidisciplinary teams

Support safe staffing levels in collaboration with recruitment and clinical teams

Provide supervision and support to office-based staff, including regular 1:1s

Ensure care planning, risk assessments, and governance processes are consistently followed

Support training oversight and professional development for clinicians and staff

Promote a culture aligned with the organisations values and quality standards

Contribute to continuous service improvement and operational efficiency
About You

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum requirement)

NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management, or willingness to work towards it

Sound knowledge of CQC regulations, quality standards, and governance frameworks

Experience supporting audits and CQC inspections

Confident contributing to MDT meetings and external stakeholder discussions

Strong understanding of care planning, risk assessments, and compliance

Full UK driving licence (essential)
