Pay: £90 – £120 per day

The Role
As an Autism Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver tailored support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). You’ll help create a structured, nurturing learning environment that supports emotional regulation, communication, and positive behaviour for learning.
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils will be central to your role, ensuring every child feels understood, valued, and supported throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with autism
Support the delivery of EHCP targets, IEPs, and behaviour support plans
Encourage communication, social interaction, and emotional development
Adapt classroom resources and activities to meet individual learning needs
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the SEN team to monitor progress
About You
Previous experience supporting children with autism or SEN (desirable)
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and flexible attitude within a busy school environment
A genuine commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
