A supportive and caring school in Hillingdon is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs. The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs

Support the pupil’s social and emotional wellbeing, helping them build confidence and positive relationships

Assist with engagement in learning and classroom activities

Implement strategies set out in the pupil’s EHCP
-
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
-
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support team
-
Maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment

Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff
About You

Previous experience working with children in the UK is essential

Experience supporting children with SEN is required

A patient, caring, and empathetic approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils

Committed, reliable, and proactive

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
