Working hours per week: Mon-Friday 7:30 -16:00. 40hr/week

Apprenticeship Link: Supply chain warehouse operative / Skills England
As part of your apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 programme, which takes approximately 18 months to complete. You will be fully supported by our partnered college through 1-2-1 guidance, e-learning materials, and access to knowledgeable experts in the workplace.

Our Staffordshire account has worked with Staffordshire County Council since 2014 to manage and maintain the county's highways infrastructure. We take pride in delivering high-quality services across 6,000 km of the county's network-ensuring roads, cycle routes, bridges, tunnels, lighting, drainage, traffic signals, trees and land are maintained to support local residents and communities.
What you will do:
As a Stores Apprentice, you will play a vital role, ensuring stock levels remain accurate and parts are available quickly and at the lowest possible cost, as well as the following responsibilities:
Ensure parts are purchased at the best available prices.
Issue required stock to technicians promptly upon request.
Ensure the return of parts/items that are not required or incorrectly ordered.
Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery dates for ordered parts.
Carry out regular checks on impress stock to ensure levels are maintained.
Ensure adequate levels of non-impress stock are always available.
Maintain Stores in a clean and tidy condition.
Inform technicians of any parts delivered on their behalf.
Pack and send items via courier to ensure safe delivery.
Provide a high level of customer service.
Ensure sufficient PPE levels are available and log all issued PPE to the relevant person.
Carry out monthly rolling stock checks.
Create order numbers for parts ordered and input data into the system.
Provide order numbers to all workshop staff on contract.
Book in and out all technical parts and operator manuals using the Document Control Log.
Collect parts locally when required. What you will bring:
If you do not hold GCSE/Functional Skills qualifications, you must achieve a minimum of Entry Level 3 in Maths and English during initial assessment.
Full UK Driving license.
Passion for developing your skills both professional and personally.

Able to deliver positive impact and sees efficiency as top priority.
Able to demonstrate successful delivery of cost reductions.
Parts supply chain and understanding of suppliers available. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for consideration, due to the nature of the work associated with this account.
