We are currently looking for aMulti Skilled Quarry Operativeto join our fantastic team at our Mountsorrel Quarry, in Quorn, near Loughborough, Leicestershire covering the day shift.This key role is working 48 hours week (Apply online only) (Mon-Thu) & (Apply online only) (Fri) and overtime is also available to meet business demands.

This role is commutable from Quorn, Loughborough, Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Coalville, Shepshed, Syston, Glenfield, Ibstock, Sileby, Kegworth, Nottingham, Derby, Grantham, Matlock, Tunstead, Dene, Ashbourne, Oakham, BardonHilland the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting directly totheQuarry SupervisortheMulti Skilled Quarry Operativewill work on the day-to-day operations driving mobile plant as part of the Quarry load and haul fleet.

Your responsibilities as theMulti Skilled Quarry Operativewill include:

Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities Follow SHE policies and procedures Operating Mobile plant/Fixed plant on site Assist the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets Ensure plantconforms with safety requirements at all times Inspections on the plant, reporting defects andassistingto implement remedial action Ensure that plant availability is maximised Working to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be able todemonstrateproven experience working within anindustrial,factory or similar environment as anOperative or labourer.Suitable candidates will alsopossessgood communicationskills and a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.

To succeed in the role of aMulti Skilled Quarry Operativeyou shoulddemonstrate:

Knowledge of mobile and/or fixed plant Mobile plant licencesincluding:Rigid Dump Truck licence (Highly desirable), Wheeled loading shovel, Excavator Experience of working in a quarry loadandhaul fleet Goodtimekeeping Excellentcommunication skills – bringing problems to the attention oflinemanagement Previousexperience in mobile plant operations Full UKdrivinglicence IT Literate (Preferable) Previousexperienceworkingin a Plant/Quarry environment would prove highly beneficialbut is not essential as training will be given to the right candidate.
