Outdoor Learning Support Assistant – South Brent
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm | Outdoor-Based Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Outdoor Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming setting in South Brent, supporting children through hands-on, nature-based learning.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is passionate about helping young people engage with education through practical, active experiences. Every day is different, with learning taking place entirely outside.
Role Overview:
Supporting pupils during daily outdoor learning sessions
Assisting with nature-based activities such as forest school learning, exploration, teamwork tasks, and practical skills
Encouraging engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour through outdoor education
Supporting pupils with additional needs in a non-traditional learning environment
Helping to create a safe, structured, and inclusive outdoor setting
Building positive and consistent relationships with pupils
Key Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people (essential)
A passion for outdoor learning and alternative education
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Calm, adaptable, and proactive approach
Ability to support pupils with emotional, behavioural, or additional learning needs
Forest School or outdoor learning experience desirable (but not essential)
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
8:30am – 4:00pm
Term-time only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
