Axon Moore are pleased to be working in partnership with a highly valued client in Burnley as they recruit for an experienced Payroll specialist on a part-time basis. This is a flexible and accommodating role which can be completed over 2 or 3 days per week in the office.
This role will be well suited to experienced payroll administrators who are seeking to achieve a more favourable work/life balance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Collating monthly payroll data for circa 250 staff
Resolving internal/external queries
Reconciling payroll entries
Ensure compliance with statutory benchmarks
Calculating maternity/paternity pay
Processing new starters and staff departures
Administration of company benefits, overtime, commissions, etc.
Maintenance of accurate employee records
Reporting of pension data to scheme advisors
Other ad-hoc duties
Required Skills and Experience:
At least 2 years’ payroll experience
Able to efficiently manage and organise their workload
Microsoft Excel and Sage proficient
Professionalism and confidentiality
Keeping up to date with payroll practices and legislation
A good understanding of PAYE, NI, RTI SMP, SSP and other HMRC statutory regulations
Exceptional attention to detail
Proactive and self-motivated in nature
Able to work efficiently towards deadlines
