We are delighted to have this rare and exciting opportunity for a Stores Administrator to join our clients existing team based in Stanley, County Durham. This is a temporary vacancy is permanent but may commence as temporary initially.
Hours of work are, Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm.
The sucessful candidate will provide vital support to the Manager of Engineering and the Engineering team to ensure business objectives are met efficiently, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Quality, and Engineering. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective communication across all levels of the organisation.
Duties include;

Liaising with suppliers, reacting to deliveries not arriving on time

Ordering parts and managing deliveries

Creating/providing order numbers

Inputting data
-
Managing stock – stock checks, PPE

Liaising with Engineers – issuing stock, informing on parts

Delivery notes
-
Migrating items and PPM schedules onto UPKEEP system

Keeping Stores in a good state of cleanliness and tidiness at all times

Packing and sending any items that need to be sent by courier to ensure safe delivery

Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with current H&S, environmental and food safety legislation and procedures

Use all PPE and equipment as instructed

Maintain a safe working environment at all times

Report any serious malfunctions or risks to a responsible person
Experience required;

Previous experience in working in a warehouse/stores administration role is highly desirable

Suitable candidates will be computer literate and ideally have experience of using Microsoft Office Packages including Excel
