Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School (Eastbourne)
Location: Eastbourne
Pay: £92.95 – £103.44 per day
Hours: 29 hours per week
Contract: Term Time + 5 INSET days (39 weeks)
Start Date: March 2026
We are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a busy and inclusive secondary school in Eastbourne.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them access the curriculum. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with additional learning needs, both in and out of the classroom, helping them to thrive academically and personally.
The Role:

Supporting students with a range of special educational needs on a day-to-day basis

Working closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to promote inclusion

Supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing

Helping students develop independence and confidence

Providing one-to-one or small group support where required
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Has experience working with children or young people (education or care setting preferred)

Is patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education

Has a genuine passion for supporting students with SEND
-
Can work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced school environment
