Overview
An established company based in Woking is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support its finance function. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Finance Manager and covering all group companies. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, including but not limited to:
· Processing supplier payment applications
· Maintaining purchase ledgers
· Processing expense claims
· Managing debtor and creditor controls
· Ensuring prompt supply chain payments
· Using and maintaining computerised accounting systems
· Monthly accounts close-off and reporting
· Budget forecasting, review, and analysis
· Supporting financial objectives and compliance
· Liaising with senior management as required
Experience & Skills Required
· Minimum of 5 years' accounts experience
· Confident working independently and using initiative
· Strong organisational and communication skills
· Excellent timekeeping and ability to meet fixed deadlines
· Commercially aware and numerate
· Competent with accounting software
· Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Word
