Assistant Estimator
Our client are ventilation specialists providing ductwork and airside packages to high profile buildings.
Due to ongoing success, our client now requires a Junior or Assistant level Estimator to join their dynamic and experienced team. You will support the estimating team in preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for ventilation and ductwork projects.

What's in it for you?
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Hybrid role with office attendance required a few times per month. Home working is available for the remainder of the time, along with occasional site visits. Please note that office-based working will be required initially until you are fully settled into the role.
Salary of £30,000 to £35,000, depending on experience.
20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Position Overview
Assist the estimating team in preparing accurate cost estimates for ventilation, ductwork, and airside package projects.
Support preparation of tender submissions, including pricing schedules, clarifications, and supporting documentation.
Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify requirements and scope.
Carry out take-offs and measurements from drawings (with guidance).
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and pricing information.
Maintain and update cost databases, pricing libraries, and historic data.
Assist with pre-construction and PCSA stage estimating and feasibility assessments.
Support internal coordination between estimating, design, procurement and site teams.
Attend occasional site visits to understand project requirements and support costing accuracy.
Ensure estimates and tender documents comply with company procedures and quality standards.Assistant Estimator
Position Requirements
Previous experience in a construction or building services environment, preferably mechanical/HVAC/ductwork (desirable, not essential).
Strong numerical and analytical ability.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (training provided).
Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
Good IT skills, particularly Excel and general office software.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
