Senior Operations & Customer Support
Location: Ayr
Hours: Monday-Friday, typically 07:00-15:00 (1‑hour lunch), with flexibility to support office cover between 07:00-17:00
Contract: Maternity Cover (duration TBC)
Pay: £15.38 - £16.48 per hour
Be the Operational Backbone of a Fast‑Moving Team
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Operator to join their busy, high‑performing office. Working at the heart of a dynamic operation, you'll play a key role in keeping processes running smoothly while ensuring customers receive exceptional service every step of the way.
If you thrive in fast‑paced environments, enjoy problem‑solving, and like being the go‑to person for both customers and colleagues, this role could be a great fit. Experience in the agricultural sector is welcome, though not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Outstanding Customer Service
Be a professional and approachable first point of contact
Handle customer queries, orders, and service updates
Provide accurate information on stock levels, orders, and deliveriesOperational & Administrative Support
Process orders and operational tasks using internal systems (including MS 365)
Support the Office Supervisor and provide cover when needed
Assist with complaints, credits/debits, price adjustments, and product issues
Manage incoming communications and carry out general administrative duties
Provide cover across the team during holidays, absences, or breaks
Support with stock take activitiesTeamwork & Collaboration
Work closely with departments including Sales, Trade, Logistics, Production, Marketing, and Finance
Assist junior team members and help resolve day‑to‑day issues
Escalate any unresolved queries promptly
Represent the team in internal meetings where requiredSafety & Compliance
Follow all Security and Health & Safety procedures
Provide First Aid support if trained, or be willing to undertake training
