The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the dedicated team at our purpose-built Residential Care Home in Fareham. The home provides both permanent residential care and short-term respite care, with a separate specialist dementia unit supporting residents with dignity, happiness, and individuality at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support the night care team
Deliver high-quality, person-centred dementia and residential care
Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes
Administer medication (training provided if required)
Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date care records
Promote a calm, safe, and supportive night-time environment
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant within a care home
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
Medication training (advantageous but not essential)
A caring, professional, and team-focused approach
A genuine passion for supporting older people to live fulfilling lives
