Job Title: School Cleaner
Hours: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 7:30am – 9:30am and 3:30pm – 5:30pm (4 hours per day)

Job Purpose To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors by carrying out daily cleaning duties before and after the school day.
Key Responsibilities
Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
Clean and sanitise surfaces, desks, and touchpoints
Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies
Ensure cleaning equipment is used and stored safely
Follow health & safety guidelines and COSHH regulations
Report any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns
Lock/unlock areas as requiredPerson Specification Essential:
Must hold and Enhanced DBS on the update service
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
Awareness of health and safety practicesDesirable:
Previous cleaning experience (especially in a school or similar environment)
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
