Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team for an immediate start. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to support a busy finance function during a key period. The position is initially expected to last around 6 months, with flexibility around working hours and hybrid working.
This role would suit someone confident working across accounts receivable and credit control, with strong Excel skills and a methodical, detail-focused approach.

Pay rate: £15 per hour
Hours: Flexitime available (9:00–5:00 core hours)

Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
Carry out credit control activities and follow up outstanding balances
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate financial records and update ledgers
Use Excel to manage data, reports, and reconciliations
Support month-end finance tasks as required
Liaise professionally with internal teams and external contacts
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality at all times
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements:
Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
Strong background in accounts receivable
Experience with credit control
Confident completing reconciliations
Good working knowledge of Excel
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
AAT qualification (or working towards) desirable
