Pin Point Recruitment is supporting the search for an Engineering Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to a busy engineering team. This role plays a key part in ensuring engineering activities are well organised, accurately documented, and compliant with quality and environmental standards.
The successful candidate will support both project-based and day-to-day engineering operations, contributing to the efficient delivery of engineering outputs.
Key Responsibilities

Provide general administrative support to the Engineering department, including document control, filing, and record management

Prepare, format, update, and maintain engineering documentation using customer-supplied data (e.g. reports, drawing registers, specifications, procedures)

Ensure documentation complies with ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 Rev D quality standards

Monitor engineering schedules, deadlines, and deliverables, highlighting any risks to timelines

Liaise with internal departments including procurement, operations, and customer service

Maintain databases, asset registers, and compliance records

Ensure all documentation is completed accurately with a high level of attention to detail

Follow and uphold environmental policies, procedures, and instructions to minimise environmental impact

Support meetings, schedules, and coordination activities as required

Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by the Engineering Manager
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential
-
GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade C / 4 or above
-
Administrative qualification or equivalent practical experience in an office-based role

2–3 years’ experience in an administrative role, ideally within an engineering, manufacturing, technical, construction, or industrial environment

Experience handling technical documentation and structured filing systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Professional written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

High level of confidentiality, integrity, and reliability
Desirable

Experience using ERP systems or document management systems

Exposure to engineering drawings, technical specifications, or change management processes

Experience supporting engineering projects or maintenance teams
-
Ongoing or completed professional development in administration, document control, or business support
