Part Marking and Packing Operative
Salary: £27,000
Hours: 08:00–17:00 Monday to Thursday / 08:00–12:00 Friday

A leading aerospace engineering manufacturer is seeking a Part Marking and Packing Operative to join its Assembly Manufacturing team. This position focuses on accurately marking components for full traceability and packaging them safely for despatch.
The role
The Operative will ensure components are correctly identified, documented and protected, working to established engineering and quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
Marking components using ink marking and laser engraving.
Packaging and labelling parts according to defined procedures.
Interpreting drawings, route cards and work instructions.
Maintaining traceability through correct serial number allocation.
Completing self‑inspection and basic SAP transactions.
Supporting 5S, continuous improvement and safe handling practices.
Skills & experience
Essential:
Experience in production packing or a similar environment.
Ability to understand basic engineering drawings.
Awareness of Health & Safety requirements.
Basic computer skills.
Personal qualities:
Methodical, accurate and attentive to detail.
A team player who can also work independently.
Reliable, organised and self‑motivated.
