SEND Administrator – Primary School
About the Role
Teach Now is seeking a highly organised and committed SEND Administrator to join a supportive, forward-thinking SEND team within a primary school in Barnet. This is a key role providing essential administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of inclusive education and compliance with statutory SEND requirements.
The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusion, confident managing a varied workload, and comfortable working in a busy school environment. Discretion, confidentiality and strong collaboration skills are essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the main point of contact for the SEND department, liaising with parents, staff, pupils and external professionals
• Support EHCP processes, including preparing Annual Review documentation and managing reports via the Hampshire Hub
• Maintain accurate SEND records, registers and tracking data
• Coordinate SEND meetings, including diary management and minute taking
• Manage referrals to external agencies and ensure information is shared in a timely manner
• Organise SEND calendars, key dates and departmental communications
• Support pupil transitions, including Year 6 students moving to secondary placements
• Manage SEND resources, stock levels and basic budget records
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working within SEND or education administration (highly desirable)
• Knowledge of EHCP processes and statutory SEND requirements (or a willingness to learn)
• The ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy environment
• A professional, discreet approach to handling sensitive information
• A genuine commitment to inclusive education and teamwork
