Senior Night Care Assistant
Location: Great Wyrley, WS6
Hours: 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts, 8pm-8am)
Rate of Pay: £12.80 per hour
Contract: Nights

We are now seeking a Senior Night Care Assistant to join this dedicated team and help them to continue delivering outstanding person-centred care.
⭐ What You'll Bring as a Senior Care Assistant:
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Strong experience supervising care staff

Proven ability in care planning and high-quality care delivery

Experience in ordering, administering, and safely storing medication

Excellent communication skills
-
A solid understanding of health, safety and welfare

Ability to work independently and use initiative
-
Flexibility to support a 7‑day rota

Professional boundaries while working as part of a team
Qualifications & Training for the Senior Care Assistant role:

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

Up-to-date statutory and mandatory training, including:
-
Fire Safety, COSHH, Health & Safety
-
Dignity, Elder Abuse, Care Act 2014
-
Moving & Handling
-
Infection Control
-
Managing Behaviours that Challenge / Safety Intervention
-
Safe Administration of Medication
-
Safeguarding
-
Food Hygiene
Experience & Knowledge as a Senior Care Assistant:
-
Dementia awareness and experience supporting individuals with complex needs
-
Strong background in person-centred care
-
Experience supervising staff and managing shift allocations
-
Auditing care documentation and incident reporting
-
Knowledge of safe medication practices
-
Understanding of skill mix and team leadership
-
Essential knowledge of health, safety and welfare
Preferred candidates will also have experience working with older adults and individuals living with dementia.
