Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Library Assistant to help create a vibrant and welcoming library environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
š Organise and Manage School Libraries: Take charge of our school libraries, ensuring they are well-organized, inviting, and stocked with a diverse range of books
š Build Rapport with Students: Create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where students feel comfortable exploring the library while maintaining clear boundaries
š Contribute to School Events: Participate in exciting events such as author visits, cultural celebrations, and special reading weeks to promote literacy and a love for books
š Stock Management and Analysis: Monitor inventory, assess the collection, and make recommendations to ensure our library is always up-to-date and relevant
What We're Looking For:
A genuine passion for reading and supporting students in their literary journeys
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, eager to engage in school events and promote a vibrant library culture
Experience in a library setting or education is a plus, but not essential
