Learning Support Assistant - Mainstream school located in Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Working with an ASD student in Year 2 helping to build confidence and understanding
Open to all experience levels - must have a passion for SEN
£90+ per day - Post will be for the rest of the academic year - Starting as soon as possible.
Role could be suitable for part time candidates
This inclusive school with a higher-than-average number of pupils who have a recognised special education need. The school has excellent facilities and support for these pupils with the aim for totally inclusive education for all and with each child going on to reach their full potential. Starting as soon as possible they are looking for an experienced LSA to join and support a student with ASD who is in Year 2. The student has been making excellent progress but requires the support of someone who can keep them focused and on task. They also need help building confidence. The child currently finishes school at 1pm, so this could suit a part time LSA but those wanting full time will stay to support the whole class until 3:30.
The Teaching Assistant must:
Hold at a Level 3 TA qualification or Degree / relevant experience
Have recent experience working as a TA/LSA
Have energy, commitment and creativity
Be able to engage well with colleagues, children and their parents
Have a positive attitude
Be available and willing to commit for the academic year
