Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop a structured programme management framework tailored to the AI Programme’s goals, including milestones, timelines, and progress indicators.

Monitor and report the team’s progress across individual projects and longer-term pieces of work measuring them against deliverables, identifying risks and implementing measures to address them proactively.

Ensuring that projects within the programme pass through the appropriate Governance and Assurance steps within the Department and GDS.

About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
-
Strong expertise in programme, project and delivery management methodologies, including risk, benefits and performance monitoring. Including, experience of applying Agile and/or Lean delivery methodologies.

The ability to bring these techniques in a flexible manner to a portfolio of disparate projects.

Successful management of digital products (ideally with AI components) through the different stages of the product life-cycle. Identification of innovative ways to manage and unblock issues.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.

Excellent organisational skills with evidence of them being applied to support a diverse portfolio of work.
