Job Title: Assessor - Education and Early Years (Part Time)Salary: Commencing at £29,372 with progression to £31,138 per annum pro rataClosing Date: 2026-01-29About the RoleLeeds City College are looking for an inspiring Education and Early Years Assessor who has a passion for supporting and motivating young people into employment, whether this is in Primary Education or Early Years. The ideal candidate will be passionate about students, can work independently, and make productive and professional relationships with our work placement settings.The role will work closely with the Education and Early Years team to support students to achieve their workplace assessments and qualifications. You will primarily be based at Quarry Hill Campus but will also be required to travel to a variety of education and early years settings in West Yorkshire. During these visits, you will carry out and write up detailed student observations, therefore you must have a high level of written literacy.You will be joining a substantial department of over 25 staff members dedicated to supporting approximately 600 students. This is a hybrid role, which involves assessing students both in college and on work placement. You will be fully integrated into the departmental team, benefiting from a structured support network that includes professional support, departmental collaboration, and shared expertise.The Department of Education and Early Years is based at Quarry Hill Campus within the Cultural Quarter of Leeds.
