Questech Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a leading vehicle manufacturer as an Assistant Service Centre Manager at their Croydon depot.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Regional Service Centre Manager in overseeing daily workshop operations

Supervise technicians and support staff to ensure productivity and quality standards are met

Assist with planning and scheduling servicing, maintenance, and repairs across the fleet

Ensure all vehicles meet legal, safety, and compliance requirements (MOT, inspections, servicing)
-
Monitor workflow, turnaround times, and parts availability to minimise vehicle downtime
-
Handle customer and internal stakeholder queries professionally and efficiently
-
Assist with stock control, ordering of parts, and cost management
-
Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times

Step in to manage the service centre in the Manager’s absence
Skills & Experience Required
-
Previous experience in a vehicle workshop, fleet maintenance, or service centre environment
-
Supervisory or team-leading experience preferred
-
Strong understanding of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and compliance standards

Excellent organisational and communication skills
-
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

IT-literate with experience using workshop or fleet management systems

A relevant technical qualification (e.g. NVQ / City & Guilds) is desirable

Full UK driving licence
