Job Title: Manufacturing Operative
Location: Castle Donington
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operative to join our established team in Castle Donington. This role is ideally suited to a practical, skilled individual with a background in woodworking, joinery, or export packing. You will be responsible for manufacturing timber packing cases and packing commercial goods for export to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing timber cases and crates using hand and power tools
Reading and working from basic specifications and measurements
Export packing of commercial and industrial goods
Ensuring packing meets export, handling, and safety requirements
Maintaining high standards of workmanship, accuracy, and quality
Following health & safety procedures at all times
Supporting general manufacturing and packing operations as required
Essential Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing, woodworking, or joinery environment
Confident use of hand and power tools
Ability to work accurately, independently, and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and quality
Non-Essential (Desirable) Requirements:
Forklift licence
Full UK driving licence
General warehouse or packing experience
