Introduction
Heliserve Ltd is a Leeds based Helicopter Maintenance Organisation, carrying out maintenance and airworthiness activities.
As a Robinson Helicopter Company Authorised Service Centre we predominantly work with the Robinson R22, R44 and R66, but we also offer support for the Bell 206B/L and B407.
This vacancy is for an Engineering Support Administrator to assist the Chief Engineer and Continuing Airworthiness Manager. The opportunity has arisen due to the forthcoming retirement of the current Administration Assistant.
Role Description
The role is full time (37.5 Hours/week) and office based at Leeds Heliport, which is near Leeds/Bradford Airport.
The role includes the following principal activities, and others as may be defined from time-to-time by the Chief Engineer:

Keeping Airframe and Engine log books for supported aircraft up to date

Transcribing maintenance activity from engineer completed work packs into log book certificates for review, sign off and inclusion in the associated Airframe and Engine log books

Maintaining the records for each supported aircraft in MS Excel workbooks and in MS Word documents. Accessing aircraft parts and component data on the company’s inventory software.

Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer/Continuing Airworthiness Manager, maintaining the Maintenance Programme documents for supported aircraft types

Reviewing and recording the history of aircraft arriving with us for maintenance or overhaul for the first time, including verifying the records against the data plates on various critical components of the aircraft

Assisting with Work Order and Work Pack generation, liaising with customers and operators to obtain aircraft information to manage the airworthiness of the aircraft.

General filing activities, administration for other parts of the business as required.
Skills required
Essential:

A good customer facing manner and ability to work effectively within a team

Ability to communicate effectively by email, in person and on the telephone

MS Excel experience, including understanding, maintaining and occasionally changing formulas and formatting, understanding the implications of incorrect data input

MS Word experience, including understanding and occasionally changing macros
-
Given the nature of the work undertaken, rigour and a particular attention to detail in all areas of the role

Confidence and ability to work safely in a Maintenance Hangar, around aircraft and machinery

Ability to understand and manage own workload, while being conscious of commercial efficiency
Desirable:

Full clean UK driving licence

An understanding of general engineering principles, as a foundation for understanding the environment in which you will be working

Ability to apply logic and problem solving skills to ad hoc tasks

An interest in the aviation sector
