Job Responsibilities
Operate production machinery to perform specified operations or produce parts in accordance with company standards.
Set up machines, load raw materials, and manually operate equipment to ensure smooth production flow.
Unload finished products from machines, inspecting for quality and adherence to specifications.
Work from written or verbal instructions and follow general operating procedures, applying judgment and selectivity as needed.
Maintain control over product quality throughout the production process.
Assist in identifying and resolving issues or problems that may arise during production, seeking guidance when necessary.
Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times in the workplace.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills relevant to operating production machinery.
Experience working with production machines and manual handling of raw materials.
Ability to work from written or verbal instructions, demonstrating attention to detail.
Basic data entry and computer proficiency preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and seek assistance when needed.
Flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern, including days, afternoons, and nights.
Own transport is preferable due to the remote location outside of the city centre.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous.
Shift & Pay Details
Day Shift: £12.96 per hour
Afternoon Shift: £15.81 per hour
Night Shift: £16.85 per hour
Overtime Rate: £19.44 (Monday to Saturday), £25.93 (Sunday)
Note: Candidates will be expected to work different shifts each week on a rotation basis
