Whether you are a recent Psychology graduate, an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, or a Learning Support Assistant, this is an excellent opportunity to support children with EHCPs on a 1:1 and in-class basis within a supportive and nurturing primary SEN setting.
The Role - Learning Support Assistant
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will become an integral part of a dedicated SEN support team, working across EYFS to Key Stage 2. You will build strong, positive relationships with pupils to help them reach their full academic, emotional, and social potential in a safe and engaging learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs
Supporting pupils during whole-class lessons and small group activities
Assisting with differentiated learning activities and tailored interventions
Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to support pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate
✔ Experience working with children in a school, SEN, care, or specialist education setting
✔ Strong communication skills and a proactive, nurturing approach
✔ Commitment, resilience, and enthusiasm for supporting pupils with additional needs
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ A degree in Psychology (or related field) or a Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
