The Vacancy
Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced Environmental Services Operative to work across our vibrant organisation.
What You’ll Do:
-
Assist in carrying out a range of horticultural and cleansing operations to open spaces and individual gardens, including but not limited to; litter picking, fly tipping, removal and environmental improvements

Be proactive in reporting repairs, hazards, defects, fly tipping and any health and safety matters
-
Carry out a range of grass cutting operations including Grass cutting with hand, pedestrian controlled and ride on machines
-
Pruning and general maintenance of hedgerows and shrub beds with hand tools and powered cutters, including soil preparation and mulching
What You’ll Need:

Full Driving Licence

NPTC Unit PA1 - Safe Use of Pesticides
-
NPTC Unit PA6 - Use of Handheld applicator
-
Lantra / NPTC Use of Rode-on Rotary Mowers

Experience undertaking a full range of grounds maintenance activities and the use of grounds maintenance equipment

Understanding and awareness of Health and Safety Regulations

Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team

Ability to follow defined processes and procedures in an accurate and consistent manner
