1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Full-Time, Year 6 (Colchester)
A welcoming primary school in Colchester is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, supporting a Year 6 pupil with ASD and ADHD.
This 1:1 Learning Support Assistant role involves providing consistent, tailored support to help the pupil remain engaged, regulated, and confident in their learning throughout the school day.
The role of 1:1 Learning Support Assistant includes:
Providing focused 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil with ASD and ADHD
Supporting learning, attention, and emotional regulation within the classroom
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow EHCP targets
Helping the pupil manage transitions, routines, and expectations
The school is looking for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant who is patient, calm, and confident supporting pupils with additional needs, particularly in upper KS2.
To be considered for this 1:1 Learning Support Assistant role, you should:
Have experience supporting children with ASD and/or ADHD
Be reliable, consistent, and able to build strong relationships
Have previous experience as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or SEN support staff
