Warehouse Manager
An established and highly respected British design-led brand is entering an exciting new phase of growth and is launching a brand-new warehouse operation in Banbury. To support this expansion, we are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the operation from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in setting up and shaping a new facility, building a high-performing team, and creating efficient, scalable warehouse processes that support both ecommerce and wholesale customers.
The Role
As Warehouse Manager, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring goods move safely, accurately and on time. You’ll be a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes and delivering excellent service.
You will also be involved in the transition from a third-party logistics provider to the new Banbury site, ensuring a smooth and well-planned go live.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Team Leadership
Recruit, train and manage permanent and seasonal warehouse staff
Create a positive, engaged team culture with a focus on development
Lead by example in a hands-on operational environment
Operational Management
Oversee goods-in, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, returns and stock checks
Manage both B2B/wholesale and ecommerce order fulfilment
Maintain high levels of stock accuracy and inventory control
Health, Safety & Compliance
Lead site-wide Health & Safety standards
Conduct risk assessments and manage incident reporting
Ensure safe use and maintenance of warehouse equipment
Systems, Process & Performance
Use WMS and reporting tools to monitor performance and improve efficiency
Own and maintain SOPs, ensuring all staff are trained and compliant
Drive continuous improvement as the operation scales
Pre–Go-Live & Transition
Spend time embedded at the current 3PL site to learn existing processes
Support planning and execution of the warehouse move
Act as a key operational contact ahead of site launch
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience managing warehouse operations (ecommerce and wholesale ideally)
Strong people leadership and supervisory skills
Solid understanding of logistics, inventory management and warehouse best practice
Confident using systems and data (WMS experience preferred)
Proactive, organised and improvement-focused
Strong Health & Safety awareness
Forklift licence desirable but not essential
