This post will be based in the Health Service and Population Research Department within the School of Mental Health and Psychological Sciences and affiliated with King’s Women’s Mental Health (KWMH)– a leading centre for research on violence, abuse, and mental health.About the role:This post offers a time-limited, fast-paced opportunity to contribute to the VISION (Violence, Health & Society) Consortium, a UK Prevention Research Partnership–funded initiative focused on reducing violence-related harms through high-quality data analysis and rapid evidence generation. The role is based within King’s Women’s Mental Health, a leading centre for research on violence, abuse, and mental health. The successful candidate will undertake intensive analysis of data from the Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey (APMS) 2023/24 relating to violence and abuse. Working closely with the line manager, the postholder will be expected to conceptualise, deliver, and write up at least three distinct analyses within a defined timeframe, leading to manuscripts ready for submission to peer-reviewed journals. The postholder will join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team with a strong emphasis on pace, productivity, and impact. The role is particularly well suited to researchers seeking a focused publication-driven post, offering the opportunity to rapidly build authorship, deepen substantive expertise in violence and abuse, and strengthen academic networks. It provides a strong platform for those preparing fellowship applications, with access to mentorship and collaborative opportunities within a supportive but delivery-oriented research environment. This post is offered for three months full time (or part-time equivalent over a longer period), with a start date no earlier than 2nd March 2026 and an end date no later than 30th September 2026.
