Maintenance Assistant (Nights)
Location: Partington, Manchester (M31)
Pay Rate: £13.51 per hour (£12.51 + £1.00 night rate)
Overtime: £19.77 per hour (after 40 hours)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Shift: Nights – Sunday to Thursday

The Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant (Nights) to support Maintenance Engineers in the smooth running of a busy manufacturing plant. This is a hands-on, development role where full training will be provided.
You will assist with planned and reactive maintenance, breakdowns, cleaning of equipment, and general plant maintenance, working closely with experienced engineers.

Assist with scheduled and breakdown maintenance

Support cleaning and upkeep of plant and machinery

Carry out general maintenance tasks as directed

About You

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Mechanical or engineering background preferred

Practical, hands-on approach and willing to learn

Able to take direction and communicate well

Physically fit – role involves working at height and in confined spaces
No formal maintenance experience required – training provided
