Payroll Assistant (Hybrid)

I'm recruiting a Payroll Assistant for a well-established accountancy practice in Glasgow. This is a hands-on role taking ownership of an existing payroll portfolio of around 80 clients (largest payroll circa 40 employees).
If you enjoy end-to-end payroll, client contact, and working in a supportive practice environment, this is well worth a look.

The role
- End-to-end payroll processing (weekly, monthly and some annual)
- Managing a varied client payroll portfolio
- CIS payrolls
- Pension submissions and auto-enrolment
- HMRC reporting and year-end processes
- Sage Payroll and Excel
- Managing payroll inboxes and general admin
- Assisting with VAT returns where required
What I'm looking for
- Proven payroll experience
- Practice experience preferred, but not essential
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator with good client skills
