Business Support Assistant
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield

Contract Type: Temporary (3 months)
Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £12.22 per hour (PAYE) / £15.66 per hour (Umbrella)
About the Role
Based at Lawn View House in Sutton-in-Ashfield, this role sits within the Adult Social Care & Health Department, supporting the Deprivation of Liberty Standards (DoLS) service. The post holder will provide essential administrative support within a busy team, ensuring statutory processes and service standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Handling and processing allocations within the DoLS service
Making and receiving telephone calls with service users, colleagues, and partner organisations
Inputting, checking, and verifying data accurately
Liaising with internal departments and external public bodies
Managing and organising an individual caseload within statutory timescales
Driving workflow to support the achievement of team targets
Handling and processing complex and sensitive information in line with policies and proceduresExperience & Knowledge
Previous experience in an administrative or business support role
Understanding of safeguarding principles
Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection requirementsSkills & Competencies
Excellent IT skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities
Attention to detail when working with complex informationAdditional Requirements
Ability to organise and manage own workload within statutory deadlines

Hybrid working arrangement
Requirement to attend the office once or twice per week, depending on business needs
Daily office attendance required during the initial training period
This is a full-time role; however, part-time/job-share arrangements may be considered for suitable candidatesTraining & Development
Relevant training will be provided to support the successful delivery of the role
