Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver looking for an exciting new opportunity in Andover? Our client is a leading waste management company, and this role offers a thrilling chance to work in a fast-paced environment while making a positive impact on the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive HGV Class 2 Refuse Lorry:
- Operate a HGV Class 2 refuse lorry, ensuring all driving is conducted safely and efficiently in accordance with UK road laws and regulations.
- Navigate various terrains, including rural and built-up areas, with care and precision.
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, conducting daily checks to ensure roadworthiness.
Assist Loaders:
- Collaborate with and support loaders during certain rounds to ensure efficient and timely waste collection.
- Assist in loading and unloading bins, ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed.
Route Management:
- Plan and execute collection routes to optimise efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
- Adapt to changing circumstances and re-route as necessary to meet collection deadlines.
Customer Interaction:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any queries or issues from the public in a professional manner.
- Represent the company with a positive attitude, building rapport and maintaining high standards of service.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, reporting any incidents, accidents, or near-misses immediately.
- Ensure the safe handling and transportation of waste materials, prioritising safety for yourself, team members, and the public.
Additional Duties:
- Perform any other duties as required by the supervisor to support the team and company operations.
- Engage in company training programmes and meetings to stay updated on policies and procedures.
Monday to Friday: 06:45 start times (Part time roles available)

Requirements:
