Your work will ensure that both our direct labour and subcontractor teams consistently meet regulatory requirements, industry standards and Calisen’s own high expectations for safety and quality.Managing a team of Senior Meter Technicians (SMTs), you will oversee end‑to‑end audits, coach teams, support compliance activity and work closely with technical, safety and training colleagues to ensure quality is embedded throughout our operations.This is a key role in shaping installation standards across Calisen’s metering activities.Key Responsibilities Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, systems and processes across metering installation activities Monitor compliance with industry regulations, standards and Safe Systems of Work Lead the planning and execution of audits and inspections for both direct labour and subcontractor workforces Identify non‑conformances and lead corrective and preventative action plans Collaborate with Learning & Development to support training programmes for technical teams and subcontractors Produce accurate documentation, reporting and performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders Manage and motivate a team of ~20 Senior Meter Technicians Work closely with Technical Managers, H&S teams, Field Operations, Training Academy and third‑party audit providersAbout YouYou’ll thrive in this role if you are proactive, detail‑driven and passionate about embedding a culture of quality and safety.Essential Skills & Experience Strong understanding of the utility metering industry, including relevant standards and regulations Experience in quality assurance or quality management (preferably energy, metering, construction or renewables) Proven ability to implement quality strategies and run robust audit programmes Skilled in managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels Strong organisational, leadership and decision‑making skills Experience leading continuous improvement initiativesDesirable Degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related discipline Professional QA/QM certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) Experience compiling and presenting operational quality reportsWhat We’re Looking For Flexible and adaptable Customer‑focused and proactive Detail‑oriented with strong accuracy Enthusiastic and self‑motivated leaderWhat You'll Get Competitive Salary: £52,000-56,000 salary per annum, with our annual salary review ensuring your efforts are always rewarded.
